I feel like I'm about to break out in 'Uptown Funk.' With ripped jeans, Adidas Superstars and a
grey fedora, I might have well of raided Bruno Mars's wardrobe! Sarcasm aside, I actually am really feeling this sporty, off-duty look.
If fashion were some sort of scale, I definitely gravitate more towards the girly side of things. Although I don't exactly walk around in hot pink and stilettos, I am about as far from a tomboy as England is from being tropical! But with ripped jeans, Adidas sneakers and all things sporty tom boy hitting it big in the style stakes, I couldn't resist styling them up with a hint of femininity.
This grey lace up bodysuit from Lookbook Store is a big injection of va-va-voom sex appeal into a trendy, but masculine look. I've always been a huge fan of lace-ups, but have never gone for such a plunging piece before. I think that it looks really off-duty and cool with the distressed jeans, whilst still looking classy and not showing too much skin.
Looking to give the more boyish trend a go? Here's my top tips
How To Make A Boyish Look More Feminine
- If you're wanting to wear something a bit low cut or short, this trend is your chance! Juxtapose a low-cut top with baggy or ripped jeans or athletic yoga pants. Contrast short shorts with a baggy sports tee or hoody.
- Accessorize! The simple addition of a statement accessory can instantly make a look more masculine or feminine. Dress up a boyish look with a sparkly statement necklace or make a girly look more edgy with a unisex bandana.
- Ensure your hair and makeup is flawless.
- Add a feminine handbag for an interesting contrast.
You've probably read this and thought, 'not that wall again...' Monsoon rain is bucketing it down here, leaving all my preferred tropical locations a huge no. This wall is my fail-safe photo zone! I may not be Jon Snow, but I am seriously the watcher of this wall!
