“Every time we walk along a beach some ancient urge disturbs us so that we find ourselves shedding shoes and garments or scavenging among seaweed and whitened timbers like the homesick refugees of a long war.” – Loren Eiseley

I am sat here drooling over Instagram. Nope; I'm not searching #chocolatecake, my feed is just brimmed with all the newest pretties direct from New York Fashion Week. I double, triple, quadruple wish I was there, but I guess the beach will have to do....
This weekend Jake and I headed to the stunning Port Douglas on a celebratory weekend, as he's just become a qualified teacher. If any of Mr B's students are reading this hello (I know you Google him!)
These photos were taken on the lush Four Mile beach, where we chilled and watched some windsurfers catch the waves.
If you've read my last post, you will know that I'm craving both lace-up details and suede like I do chocolate (all the time) and this cute Boohoo dress incorporates both. Although my boyfriend commented that it looked like a 'potato sack' while it was lying on the bed, I find it beautifully flattering when I wear it.
Whilst wearing a colour this close to my skin tone, I injected flashes of turquoise through my statement jewellery pieces to stop it looking too 'nude'. Then I popped on my fave Tory Burch's and threw my hair up into a top knot and enjoyed semi-camouflaging into my beachy surroundings.
