Choosing an outfit for fashion week can be daunting. Especially if, like me, you are relatively new to the industry and this is your first year at fashion week.
Don't worry.. I didn't lock myself in a toilet and indulge in carbs: this week has been incredible!!
Day 3 of fashion week has just commenced, and after three days of fantastic shows and meeting incredible people, I thought I would share my very first fashion week outfits.
Well, hello there fashion week... today is your first full day! Today I went for this interestingly baggy, yet surprisingly structured chambray dress from Bardot. I teamed it with a statement clutch, layered on some chokers and wore these ahhh-mazing (**sighs**) Tory Burch sunnies courtesy of The Sunglasses Hut. Cheers ma dears!
Strange enough, quite a lot of photographers and magazines actually asked to take my photo whilst I was wearing this. "Erm... don't you know who I am?' Jokes aside, I will never get used to being papped, although it's totally fun in a guilty, narcissistic kinda way- a bit like eating a Magnum I guess.
I wore this outfit to 'TOME', 'By Johnny' and 'Bec and Bridge'
I wrote a piece on 'By Johnny' for Miro Door, which you can view here.
Here's a preview of the collections, although detailed show reviews will be coming to my blog very soon:
Today I decided to go a tad (or a lot) bohemian. A lot of people commented that I'd looked like I''d come straight from Coachella. I take this as a compliment: the girls there always look laid-back luxurious. This, ahem, top is actually a skirt I ordered from She Inside that turned out to be miniscule! I paired it with a The Fifth Label skirt, a Tony Bianco clutch and Prada Sunnies!
This outfit ventured with me to Michael Lo Sordo, Ginger & Smart, Haryono Setiadi, Maticevski, Jayson Brunsdon, Lee Matthews, Phoenix Keating, Alice McCall and Han..
Let me tell you, these pointy shoes look pretty, but my poor tootsies....
Here's a little taste of day 3:
Full reviews will be coming to the blog very soon! In the meantime you can view my pieces for Miro Door on Alice McCall and Michael Lo Sordo.
The Daily Luxe Goes Front Row
Fashion Week gives the opportunity for new bloggers to network, seek career advice and be inspired by others in the industry. Today I got talking to the lovely super-blogger and photographer Zanita Whittington pre 'Ginger and Smart'. After giving me some sound career advice, we had a good chat and I ended up sitting in the front row with her. It's lovely how very successful bloggers like Zanita will share their success secrets with us newbies! Thanks for the front row seat and amazing advice Zanita!
Above: Yep, I made the front row
And my front row luck kept on coming, I ended up front row at Jayson Brunsdon, Michael Lo Sordo and Haryono Setiadi. I am completely overwhelmed and feel incredibly blessed.
