The Round Up: New York Fashion Week

London: They are coming for you! This week,  I will be glued to my twitter and Instagram watching LFW go live (if only I could be there!) But in the mean time, let's look at all the fashion glory that graced the stage at the Big Apple.

You're probably thinking, gosh Rach, you already did a NYFW post last week (here)... But, rest assured this one is like a cheeky, little, cheat sheet (he he he). Just like I did at the end of last seasons shows, here's a nutshell-recap of the entirety of NYFW. So now you can fool people in believing you were actually there!

Proenza Schouler- Tweeds, off the shoulder necklines, huge holed tights, slashed cut outs and literal cow prints.

Lacoste- Sports meets work wear, vertical stripes, camel coats

Alexander Wang- Studded hems, leather, fabric contouring, oversized bomber jackets, double breasted jackets, turtlenecks

Tibi- Creamy beige tones, pastels, shearling, faux fur, velour jackets, chunky knitwear, minimalism

Victoria Beckham- Tailoring, folded structures, long culottes, 60s, turtlenecks

Diane Von Furstenburg- Oriental florals, pinstriped waistcoats, lace, radical 70s prints

Prabal Gurung- Mixed fur and knit, animal prints, fair isle, low v necklines, wrap dresses

Karen Walker- 70s, warm earthy tones, 60s meets 70s, clashing prints, dark navy denim, turtlenecks

Tommy Hilfiger- Breton stripes, navy blue and burgundy, varsity, check tweed, silk bomber jackets
Carolina Herrera- Marbled cloud prints, soft grey tones, plaid, water droplet prints, 60s tweed, swirl & scribble prints

Marchesa- 3d florals, 1920s, tassles, ruffles, sheers, sequins

Michael Kors- Neutral tones, ribbed knits, tweed, fur, 1970s , plaid suiting, glitter fabrics

J.Crew- Fairisle prints, citrus knits, 70s, fringing, long skorts

Oscar De La Renta- Stripes, grid print, monochrome faux fur, embellishments, florals, classic gowns

Marc by Marc Jacobs- Wallpaper floral prints, neck scarves, studded berets, tartan, punk

Zac Posen- Marsala, muted grid prints, silk maxi dresses, pleats

Vera Wang- Monochrome, sports luxe, sequins, detailed mesh, 3d florals

Badgley Mischka- Metallic, brocade patterns, double breasted coats, tweed, red, plaid, baroque

Thakoon- Verticle stripes, clashing stripes, burnt orange, wool stoles, 1970s

Derek Lam- Colour block suiting, camel coats, double breasted coats, preppy, suede

Rodarte- Biker jackets, leather pants, beaded detailing, tweed, lace, velvet, embellishment, sequins
Which collection are you lusting over?

Rachel

    19. I'm having some serious clothes envy over some of those pieces. My favorites are the layered Marchesa dress frock, the sleeveless Derek Lam vest, the burnt orange Prabal Gurung dress, and both Victoria Beckham and Tibi looks. I'm already looking forward to next winter to so see what the high street will have to offer!
